About Our Pastor

Reverend Emily Kintzel was appointed to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church effective July 1, 2025. She is a Colorado native and grew up in The United Methodist Church.
Prior to becoming a pastor, she taught Elementary School for 10 years. During that time, she also began work as a Youth Director at Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont. She served in that capacity for 11 years and it was during her time as Youth Director that she answered her call to Ordained Ministry.
Pastor Emily Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in June of 2016. During her final year, she completed her internship by serving as the pastor of Evans United Methodist Church. After that she was appointed to Lyons Community Church, where she served from 2016-2020. Most recently, Pastor Emily had been appointed to Niwot United Methodist Church, where she served from 2020-2025.
Pastor Emily has a heart for mission and for connecting with the community in real and authentic ways. She is excited about the many ways Good Shepherd United Methodist Church lives out the call to make disciples of all people and the call to love your neighbor as yourself. She looks forward to finding ways to support the congregation in its current ministries and community connections, as well as explore how we can forge new ministries and community connections together!
