Worshipping
God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and hearing his word proclaimed are
essential to the Christian experience and connecting with God. Shepherd UMC
offers several worship styles so you can choose one that meets your needs.
Worship ministries

Devotional
worship service (8:15 a.m.) - For those
seeking quiet worship time with God. Although there is spoken liturgy,
there is no music.

Son-day
Morning Live! (9:15
a.m.) - Contemporary, informal service featuring modern praise and worship
music. The praise team is accompanied by recorded music or a band, and
song lyrics are projected so you are free to respond in your own way to
the spirit of the service. Come as you are! Followed by Sunday Morning Fellowship (10:30 a.m.)
then a second Sunday School at (11:00 a.m.)

Sunday School (9:30 a.m.) - All Ages.
Second adult only bible study time (11:00 a.m.)

Sunday Morning Fellowship (10:30 a.m.)
- A casual time of friendly conversation and fellowship with others at Church. Refreshments are served.

Traditional
worship service (11:00 a.m.) - Uses spoken liturgy and traditional prayers and hymns of the
church. Both organ and piano accompany the hymns, and vocal, bell and
chime choirs perform regularly.

Holy
communion, open to all who seek to
be at one with God and their neighbor, is celebrated on the first Sunday
of the month at all three
services.
Music ministries

Bell choir
- Rehearses
on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and performs regularly at traditional worship
service.

Adult choir
- Rehearses
on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and performs at traditional worship service,
except during the summer.

Praise team
and band - Rehearses on Thursday at 7:00
p.m. and leads singing at Son-day Morning Live! service.

Chime choir
- Children
7–12 years of age perform monthly at the
traditional service.

Special
music - Opportunities are available to
offer special music at either the traditional or Son-day Morning Live!
services.
