A Prayer for Support
O Lord my God, my rock upon whom I build my dreams.
I come to You today to feel again Your might strength.
As the foundation of a great
building silently supports its beautiful burden.
So may I feel You carry me and my
dreams along in Your supportive arms of love.
And as the fortress gallantly
protects a vulnerable city from deadly assaults, so wrap me in
Your protective arms of love, so that I may fee Your protection.
As the granite landmarks remain
immovable in the midst of the shifting sands, so I become
confused and lost in the maze of today's values.
And so, Lord, I build my dreams on
Your love - my solid Rock.
And I ask for Your protection on my
dream from the negative assaults that come my way.
I look to You for guidance, lest my
dreams lose their true direction which is toward You and Your
glory.
Thank You for hearing my prayer,
for sending me Jesus, my Friend, my Lord, and my Rock. |
