A Prayer of Commitment
What a beautiful thing You can do, O God, in a
human being. You are able to take manger an turn it into a cradle of a king. And
You can come and live inside a man, a woman, or a child sometimes cracked,
chipped, splintered, battered, and as rough as a manger and transform them into
beautiful creations.
Thank You for what You will do in my life now, for
I kneel before You and welcome You in, Lord Jesus. When I rise from my kneeling
prayer, may I stand taller than I ever have before and face the sun knowing that
God is my Friend, into all eternity. I ask this prayer in the name of my Savior
who taught us to pray together saying...
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy
name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
O God, I feel that this is a moment of great
decision for many people. I am so thankful, Father, that we have the
opportunities to change our minds. O God, the innkeeper did not have a second
chance, we do. I want to thank You now, O Lord, that You want to live within us,
You want to build us up, You want to save our immortal souls for heaven. O God,
thank You. Amen. |
